Ryan will be a Mayor who takes the difficult issue of education quality head-on. He will lead the charge to make each of our local schools proud institutions of learning that build a strong future for our families and for our economy.
 Once elected, Ryan will convene a Mayor’s Education Roundtable to bring parents, educators, and the business community together to build a new consensus on how to structure a first class school system. He will focus on innovative methods to increase the graduation rate, expand vocational training and access to college, and ensure that parents are fully involved in their children’s education.
He will partner with the school corporation to explore enhancing after-school programs and the creation of summer internship opportunities for high school students preparing for college or employment in the workforce.
Ryan will also work to expand the opportunities for collaboration between our schools and local colleges and universities.
