First rate police and fire protection are core responsibilities of our city government. As Mayor, Ryan will work to ensure that all of our citizens can feel safe – in their own homes, and in every corner of the city.
 Using innovative strategies and technology, he will make sure our police officers and firefighters can respond faster and more effectively when called upon.
Ryan will make sure the owners of nuisance properties are held accountable for the problems they cause in our neighborhoods and the expenses they cost the city.
He will also work with residents and police to find ways to put beat officers on the ground in neighborhoods that need immediate attention.
